QuestionI've read the sound+ compatibility list for this Sub. Would like to know if I can use this on the new HW-N950 soundbar set as well? Would like to add more bass to the system even though it has a sub already. Thanks.

- Answer TL;DR: The SWA-W700 subwoofer will NOT pair with HW-N950. So, I bought the SWA-W700 from Best Buy last night and it DOES NOT pair with the HW-N950. The blue blinking light never turns solid blue even when ID SET is started on the soundbar. I could not use the provided wireless dongle, since the dongle is USB-C based. The HW-N950 has a USB-A "Service" port on the underside. Even if I could find the adapter, I doubt the dongle can be used on the HW-N950. I'll be returning the subwoofer later. On another note, I did confirm that a second PS-WN90 subwoofer (ie. subwoofer model of the HW-N950), can be added/paired with an existing HW-N950 set. So 2 subwoofers are possible on one HW-N950 setup.

QuestionIf I'm trying to use this subwoofer with a crossover to bookshelf speakers would it work like that. Or no because it's wireless?

- Answer I doubt it could work that way because it is wireless connecting to the Samsung sound bar internally I presume via Bluetooth. I will say it works very well as designed.

- Answer No it doesn't work I had this model and it doesn't work doesn't have the wireless usb-c port for the dongle the subwoofer comes with! What is crazy I bought this subwoofer and realized it then. Anyways not even 1 day later my soundbar went out. Luckily I had bought the protection plan and got credit of $230! Oh went back to a actual home receiver (onkyo) model 686 put this in the living room and put the old one in my room model (676)8 months old. Total difference in surround sound quality. Oh I bought the rear surround wireless speakers that matched this soundbar if u want to buy for good price since I have no use for anymore.

QuestionI bought the SW-w700 @ BestBuy and the thing hasn’t worked once since I’ve had it. Called both Samsung and geek squad several times and both seem oblivious to the issues with this SW. Is there anyone with info on how to get this expensive POC to work?

Your user experience is very important to us and will be shared with our teams in an effort towards making future improvements. The soundbar and subwoofer should connect automatically when they are turned on. If they do not, you can connect them manually. 1. Check the standby status after plugging into an electrical outlet 2. Connect the main unit of the Soundbar to the Wireless Dongle 3. Turn off the Soundbar 4. Configure “ID SET” using the Soundbar’s remote control 5. Turn on the Soundbar 6. Check if the LINK LED is solid blue (connection complete) 7. - Answer Hi Jokes! The SWA-8500S does not use a dongle to connect to the soundbar. The SWA-W700 subwoofer does use a dongle, Part # AH59-02751B", to connect the the soundbar. ^Patty

- Answer I bought mine as an open box for my MS6500 curved soundbar. Several Best Buy stores still have them but you will most like have to go to that store to get it. Make sure you get the dongle that goes with it and connects to the soundbar. You also need the soundbar remote control to set it up.

- Answer Hi, The SWA-W700 is a Sound+ Subwoofer that is only compatible with the Sound+ Soundbar models (HW-MS550, HW-MS650, HW-MS750). Also, Samsung sound bars can only connect to one subwoofer at a time. I hope this helped! ^Scott
