I’m having the exact same issue with grit in dishing that weren’t there before. I remember the arm from bottom to top clips out from the top and pulls, maybe twists, out from bottom. No tools needed. Run water through it to make sure it’s clean. Mine is a year old and everything is clean but still get the grit. Good luck.
