• Yes . I bought this open box and it had the amazon prime app to play movies. Not sure if it was downloaded from the original purchaser, however it apears in the menu as if it were a standard app. It does have a lot of apps and works very well. I watch movies from amazon prime using it. The video and sound are extraordinary. I hope this helps. John
