This happened to me and I reached out to Samsung online support. One of the buttons ended up being stuck on the remote - i unplugged all the cables and let it sit for a half hour and fixed the stuck in button the remote. Everything worked after that. I was worried I had a lemon (purchased Nov 2018).

I would try a new cable and try something like Netflix to see if it's related to the drive and also plug the cable directly into the TV for testing if you're using a receiver. And finally try it without a cable at all. Does it flash when it isn't hooked into anything? If it's not a cable (or two) then it sounds like you need service.
