The usual FAT32 is okay unless your file size is bigger than 4GB. There are times where a file downloaded from the net is unreadable even though that format is listed as a recognized format of the USB drive. In these instances, the file has something in the format that makes it not play in the player. I suggest you download "Format Factory" - a free video/audio file format converter. It's a free software. Convert the files to another format and then try it. Good luck
