I watch many foreign films from Netflix disc side (as well as the streaming service). I watched one the same day I stalled this Blu-ray player, and I was able to read the subtitles at the 1st fast forward speed (but not the # 2 ffwd). I only watched that one Netflix disc but I see no reason why if the first one I used worked, that all of them should do it also.
