• The "auto shut off" you're looking for is actually the unit freezing. After a couple hours of running, it freezes and will not turn on or off (you cannot tell which since there is no indicator light). Unplugging and plugging it back in helps for a bit, but after another couple of hours, it freezes again. Replaced the unit and the new one did the same thing. Avoid this product!
