• Yes. It can be used to play games and store content... BUT note that optimized Series X/S games are designed to be run from the Internal drive (or the optional Seagate expanded storage drive), so all other (non optimized) games can be played from this drive.

• Yes it will ask you to formate the hard drive when you plug it in

• I do not know. I have not looked into HDD for the Xbox Series X. But it does work with Xbox One and PS4.

• i don't believer it will as the Xbox X as far as im aware lacks a proper slot for it. You'd be better off going with a external SSD.
