“Does this have included software that does automatic backups? Or is this just more of a fast SSD thumb drive? Not a techie so I do not want to have to be doing a bunch of downloads or configurations to get it to backup.”

I asked the same question when I got mine as I expected to see some kind of software. It's actually pretty simple. I just open 'file explorer'. Under 'files', you can open another window. One window shows the files on your computer and the other shows the external drive. Highlight the files you want to copy and just drag them into the external drive. Good Luck!

It comes with some kind of vault software for encrypting the data you store on it, but you must use the proprietary software to use the vault.
