“I have a k8500. Little disappointed with the 4k picture quality. Does the m9500 have better quality? Streaming 4k from YouTube is better than the 4k disc on the k8500. You would think the 4k disc would be better.”

I thought there was a definitive improvement from the k8500 to this one. The improved HDR really makes a difference. I viewed both players on a Samsung KS800 TV.
