“Hey! I would use this with a HW-M450 soundbar and I know it won't produce true 5.1 surround sound, because it is just a 2.1 soundbar, but is it any good? I mean, is it worth it to buy the rear speaker kit or not much of a "musthave"?”

I wouldn’t bother. I have a 3.1 soundbar with the rear speakers and the rear speaker soundkit adds very little value. I would simply stick with the 2.1 soundbar.
