QuestionWill this work with a 10" inch subwoofer by samsung?

- Answer With the speakers SWA-8500S I have it paired it up with the Samsung product Samsung Harman Kardon HW-Q6CR/ZA Series 5.1 Channel Acoustic Beam Soundbar with a subwoofer with it. I do hear the subwoofer with the other speakers working as well.

QuestionI have just received HW-Q70R/ZA along with SWA-8500s/za the wireless rear sound loudspeakers . I have no sound coming through the wireless rear loudspeakers . These are hooked to my new Samsung Q70 QLED 65" tv The Geek Squad set this up . What can I do ?

- Answer If the wireless module light is blinking blue or turns to red, it means there is no connection. What you can do is to try and reset wireless module by pushing small object (toothpick would do) through the little whole on the back on holding it for 5 seconds. After that turn off soundbar then push down and hold volume button on the remote (not switching the volume up and down, but pressing down on the button vertically) for 5 seconds to activate pairing, after a short while soundbar will turn on and if the light is solid blue on wireless module, the connection is successful.

QuestionHow to increase rear speaker volume?

- Answer Once you have the speakers paired to your sound bar. To increase the rear speaker volume you just need to use the remote that came with the sound bar. With the sound bar ON, push the little gear(settings) icon. Click the button multiple times; you will see TREBLE and BASS and other sound settings, go past them until the sound bar says “REAR L” then you can use the up and down buttons to adjust the rear speaker levels to your preferred volume.

- Answer According to the owners manual for your sound bar it will work with the 8500s rear speakers. This is line is copied from the Samsung manual for your sound bar. ["Expand to true wireless surround sound by connecting the Samsung Wireless Rear Speaker Kit (SWA-8500S) to your Soundbar (Sold separately). For more information, see the Samsung Wireless Rear Speaker Kit manual."] You sound bar is not listed as compatible in the 8500s manual but neither are mine and they are compatible. I have three pair of these speaker in my house paired up to another Samsung sound bar and they were easy to pair and work great - you need to figure out how to set the volume up to the highest settings if you have the speakers set up at a distance from the screen. They were a real deal discounted on sale. Good luck.

- Answer Using the remote for the sound bar press the settings button repeatedly to cycle thru the functions. Bass ,Treble , Rear Speakers. You can adjust the sound level from there.

QuestionI bought the Samsung HW-T510/ZA sound bar on Cyber Monday. The manual for this sound bar states that I can add the SWA-8500S rear speakers. However the SWA-8500S info does not show this sound bar on the list. Does anyone know if they are compatible?

- Answer Hi, certain model variants are added after the fact and may not show up on compatibility lists. The SWA-8500 will work with the HW-510. Thanks, ^Scott

The 2020 Soundbar model compatible with the SWA-9000S Rear Kit are the HW-Q70T and HW-Q800T. The 2019 Soundbar models that are compatible with the SWA-8500S Rear Kit are the HW-R450, HW-R550, HW-R650, and HW-Q70R. The 2019 Soundbar model that is compatible with the SWA-9000S Rear Kit is the HW-Q80R. ^Gina

The SWA-8000S speakers list the following: HW-K360 HW-K450 HW-K550 HW-J6000R HW-K369 HW-K460 HW-K551 HW-J6001R HW-K390 HW-K490 HW-K560 HW-J6010R HW-KM36 HW-KM45 HW-K561 HW-J6011R HW-KM36C HW-KM45C HW-K590 HW-J4000 HW-JM4000 HW-JM4000C HW-J6090R It appears you need the 8000S speakers.

QuestionI am trying to pair the SWA-8500S with HW-T550 but I can’t get it to work. I have tried following the instructions exactly by getting the sound bar to ‘ID SET’ while the blue light is flashing, but it just goes to red. What should I do?

- Answer Conor -First, make sure that the soundbar and the two speakers are plugged into a power source.The soundbar also needs to be turned on.Press and hold ID SET on the back of the surround speakers for at least 5 seconds. The red indicator on each speaker will turn off and start blinking blue.Press either the VOL button or the Up button on your soundbar's remote. Hold down the button for 5-6 seconds until the “ID SET” message appears on your soundbar’s display. Note: Which button you need to press varies by model. Please read your soundbar's user manual for specific instructions.The LINK LED indicator will stop blinking and glow a solid blue when a connection is established between the soundbar and the wireless receiver. If this doesn't resolve your issue please contact 1-800-SAMSUNG for further support . ^Jason
