Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have the new iPad Pro, you can plug this drive into the USB C port at the bottom. You won’t need the adapter that comes with the drive. For the other models of iPads, you are going to need a Lightening to USB adapter. You can access the files on the drive using the Files app in iPadOS 13 (you’ll need to wait until next month or use the public beta). There are several 3rd party apps you can use with other iOS versions.

One is to upload your files from the iPad to a cloud service, and then back them up to the drive from a computer. If you're a Mac user, iCloud can automatically synchronize files to the appropriate application on your computer (i.e., photos and home videos should appear in the Photos app on your Mac, Notes in the Notes app, etc.). It's easy to drag them to the Sandisk drive from a computer via USB. The other way is to use a flash memory adapter such as the Lexar Micro SD "drive" that has a Lightning plug on it. You insert a Micro SD chip into the adapter, plug it into the iPad, and then use the Lexar Mobile Manager app to back up your photos and videos to the chip. Then you can transfer those files to the Sandisk SSD drive using a computer.
