this is indeed a SLC drive best buy advertises speeds to 600 MB/s but i have an unopened one still in package that clearly states "up to 530MB/s seq read speed" so either best buy did something to improve the speed or they are advertising wrong speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this uses MLC memory and uses a Marvell SS889175 controller.and almost reaches 600Mbs with sata 3. to really understand this please read. https://www.custompcguide.net/the-differences-between-sandisk-ultra-plus-ultra-ii-and-extreme-pro/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to Anandtech 'the SSD Plus isn't based on TLC NAND, but uses SanDisk's second generation 19nm MLC NAND instead'.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Some production runs of the "G26" have the model 2246XT (Silicon Motion Inc.) controller chip that saves quick by using the flash as "SLC", then at the next idle time, compresses those sections to MLC analog voltages. Google "Write Amplification" for lengthy specifics of the process SANDISK called "nCACHE 2.0/Pro"
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this is a consumer level drive and most likely a MLC nand drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Haven't cut open the memory to see if it is SLC or not. If you trust the manufacture or brand, it said SLC on the spec. If not, you can sue them. About the speed, haven't and don't have anything to test it with. Most definitely, the posted speed is with the latest Sata 3. Don't buy it if you don't trust the spec.
