Quality3 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Price, ValueI have yet to dive into the world of Solid State Drives. My first step was to purchase an inexpensive SSD with enough space for my operating system and programs to run on it. I have a few other hard drives, 2x 500GB, which the Maxtor 500 is in the PC with my new SSD , but for storage only. I have tested it yet but I've noticed that Windows loads almost instantaneously. After I enter my password 5 second later I could be on Chrome or running some type of app, where as, with the HDD's, it seems like it took a few minutes of loading things before I could browse around my computer. 4 Stars, because the price for quality seems to be very fair. With SanDisk, they are probably my go to brand when I don't wanna spend a whole lot but I want a decent amount of memory. The 4-stars is because it came in a packaging that basically says what the actually SSD says or is printed on. SD SSD Plus, but I didn't get a disk for a driver or programs to determine the status of my drive. I didn't even realize that there was not a space in my Tower (it's a few years old) to install it, and even if it had a place for it, the SSD didn't come with screws of cables either.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I believe there are finer details to SSD, but bought these to update family PCs. Life changing.. SSD in general. 12-15 second PC boot times from complete power off. This is the single most important upgrades you can do to ANY system new or old. This particular one functions as intended without issue.

SSD Speed at a Great Price

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I bought this SSD to replace the old hard drive in my laptop, which is several years old. The laptop had always been slow, and now I know why. This SSD is super fast compared to the old HDD that came with my computer. It boots in just a few seconds, and everything I do on my computer has sped up considerably. Sure there are more advanced and faster SSDs out there, but this one is definitely a great value, and is fast enough for the everyday user.

Q: QuestionIs this actually SLC Nand. I Was under the impression that the SSDPlus was MLC. It also states it goes up to 600Mbs but is that through the sata 3 connecter?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer this is indeed a SLC drive best buy advertises speeds to 600 MB/s but i have an unopened one still in package that clearly states "up to 530MB/s seq read speed" so either best buy did something to improve the speed or they are advertising wrong speed.

Q: QuestionCan i use for my iMac 2014?. Thanks.
Asked by Polaco.
- A:Answer Yes, I installed them in med 2013's and in one 2014 15 " they are easy to install and then make a Genius bar appointment and the tech will reload the software OS you had on your machine and then you can go home and install your back up. Make sure you have a backup before removing the hard drive.

Q: QuestionHow does one install the Sandisk - 240gb Internal Sata Solid State Drive Plus For Laptops?
Asked by elsiethecow.
- A:Answer You should probably do a Google search for replacing the hard drive on your particular make/model of laptop. There are lots of tutorials out there for many different laptops. The generic instructions are: 1. Clone the existing hard drive onto the SSD connected to the computer using a USB adapter. 2. Open the laptop and remove the existing drive. 3. Insert and connect the SSD in the old drive's place. 4. Boot normally. If you don't want to/can't clone the old hard drive's contents to the new SSD, you can do a fresh install of Windows instead, but your data will need to be transferred to the new drive somehow if you want it.

Q: QuestionCan this drive be used externally with a 2.5 enclosure, I want to use it to transfer data from an old laptop drive that's close to dieing ?
Asked by Palmviperhit.
- A:Answer You can use the solid state drive as a traditional usb drive for backups. Try to get one with included software to make the cloning process easier. I had to make a backup disk, and it was a pain in the butt for me to figure out, but after that is done everything else is just so easy. I'm not a techy guy so I had to call the support guy for the company you mentioned. He sounds like Cristopher Walken. Lol I love my solid state drive though and it really did make a huge difference in load times! Only a few seconds instead of minutes now!!!

Q: QuestionThe drive thickness is listed as "0.3 inches". Drive specs are made to millimeters dimensions Such as 7 mm, 9 mm, etc. So is this really 8 mm, 7 mm or 7.5 mm? It really matters, because notebook manufacturers really do make the fit that close.
Asked by Simpleton.
- A:Answer According to Amazon specs... It is a 7mm drive.

Q: QuestionWhat exactly is the size of this hard drive?
Asked by Arilead.
- A:Answer Hi, please be informed that this is the 240GB variant of the SanDisk® SSD Plus SATA Solid State Drive and you will get around 223GB as the usable capacity. This difference is due to the different storage capacity calculation methods used between the storage drive manufacturers and a computer operating system.
