Yes, I installed them in med 2013's and in one 2014 15 " they are easy to install and then make a Genius bar appointment and the tech will reload the software OS you had on your machine and then you can go home and install your back up. Make sure you have a backup before removing the hard drive.

Please try again later.Yes.. any computer, however in a desktop, you may have to mount in a different location than the original drive or purchase a 2.5" to either 3.5" or 5.25" bay adapter, depending on your computer case. I usually just find a place to mount. You can use velcro or double-sided tape to mount these if necessary. They are very lightweight. Keep in mind this uses smaller screws (CDROM screws to be precise). Do not attempt to mount using the screws that are in a normal desktop hard drive.
