Yes, this will work just fine as the main HD in your computer. It may be a little small so I would recommend a larger HDD as a backup/storage drive. I just built a computer and used one of these as the primary boot/os drive and a 2TB HDD as the storage drive and it works wonderfully.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I am doing so at this time. If you are replacing the HDD in a factory system, you'll want to install it as a second drive and then clone the HDD onto the SSD. that way you'll be able to keep your factory reboot settings and software. There are a number of cloning solutions, too many to list here, and you'll want to look those up before you start, but the process is fairly painless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use it as the main drive in a desktop computer, but it's very likely that you will need an adapter to mount it in your computer. Some SSD's come with these adapters, but most do not. You can do a search for them on just about any online web store for as little as $8-12 per adapter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, any Computer using a SATA connector will work. You can do a fresh install of your OS or clone the old drive to this one (assuming you are using 120GB or less of it) using apps available free online. The size is only 2.5 inch so if you;re replacing a 3.5inch HDD you may need a holder/adapter to screw it into the bay. Like this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/crucial-ssd-install-kit/5457500.p?id=bb5457500&skuId=5457500 I just used some 2 sided tape to secure it in the case since the tower doesn't go anywhere. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and yes. If clean install may need to format first. You also need. An adapter to mount it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can use this SSD on a desktop and as a main HD and will work like that out of the box after installing windows.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I installed mine on an older HP Pavilion with no problems. My original HD drive died. It was an easy install. I went on line an installed win 7 and made it my boot drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your PC has a sata port and extra sata power connector it should work ok. I have one as my boot drive and the larger hard drive as storage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Used it out of the box in place of my old HD. Worked OK with win 7, 64-bit professional in a Dell Optiplex 780, except it's memory capacity shows 68Gb not 120Gb.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
