• If you buy an external reader for the SSD then sure, but the SSD is meant for desktop computers which requires it to be plugged into the motherboard

• Should work. Remember, to the eyes of the Mac (or PC), it's just another SATA drive in terms on how it is perceived by the system. But a lot faster...!

• You shouldn't have any problem swapping out this drive for original drive. Just check compatibility online. You'll want to make sure the MB has a 2.5" SATA drive. When first installing you'll have to run the disk utility to format for Mac. Instructions for that can be easily found online.

• As long as the Macbook uses standard 2.5" drive (Usually 2014 model year or earlier), it should work.
