• We use them with many Lenovo models, T440s, T540p, T430s. Can't think of any reason it wouldn't work with a T430. Might also check if you have an mSATA slot, then you can have a boot SSD and normal drive for storage

• Yes, the Lenovo Thinkpad ships with a SATA 500GB spinning drive and it can be replaced with a SATA SSD like this one. Bear in mind you'll need either to reload windows onto the smaller drive or use third party cloning software to clone your existing drive onto the new one.

• I don't see why it wouldn't. If your Thinkpad uses a standard (2.5") laptop HD, it should fit right in. It's thin (7mm) enough to fit most applications. I've converted all my computers with SSDs without any problems. Hope this helps.
