A:Answer Maybe the disk needs to be formatted first? I have a different Nikon, and it asks, ready to format card? just so nothing is accidentally erased. Check your owner's manual. As long as it's the correct size card, and the correct speed, it should be okay. Some cameras require the newest, fastest write cards. Maybe take your camera in to where you bought it, and ask them.
