If not choose another. This is an SSD which means Solid State Drive. It also means no moving parts to wear out, like conventional HDDs or Hard Disk Drives. These are the fastest drives on the market. It's also internal so it has the M.2 convention, not SATA or eSATA. If it has an M.2 convention socket, then it will fit. These are made to differing size lengths so look for several riser holes before you buy. Well I just looked it up and found M.2 Slot 2x 2280 PCIe NVMe (M key) + 1x 2242 PCIe NVMe (M key) What that means is you can use an internal SSD of some kind. Do your research and open it up and look for the socket. It appears that it comes with a standard HDD. I assume you didn't throw away the books that it came with, so do your research before you buy it, to make sure it is compatible. I actually have two m.2 slots on my puter. It appears like you MAY have two or three slots. You make sure that what appears after the x is written on the box or in the description. Good luck!

In order to know if your laptop has an internal M.2 NVMe slot, it would be best to contact Alienware Customer Support as they would have all the technical specifications for your laptop.
