I used this as an internal SSD drive in my HP Envy 17" laptop.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is an internal 2.5" SATA ("laptop") form-factor, which is pretty standard, so it should work in just about anything. I put a similar SSD (not this exact model) in my daughter's Alienware 15R2 last year, which has both SATA and M.2 options (so I also added an M.2 SSD as well). As far as I know, the R3 also offers both form-factors, but check your model's owner's manual (available online @ Dell Support).
