It will fit your Dell. It comes with a free software that will allow you to clone your existing SDD to the new larger ssd. You will need an external usb - sata connector in order to connect the new SDD to your system to clone. They are around $25 at Best Buy.

I WOULD RE-INSTALL YOUR OS (WINDOWS 10) FRESH ON THE NEW SSD DRIVE. FIRST BACK UP YOU FILES ON THE CLOUD OR TO A USB DRIVE. WINDOWS 10 WILL AUTHENTICATE IT SELF AND ACTIVATE WITH THE LATEST UPDATES AND DRIVERS.

The SanDisk should fit in that laptop. The easiest way to transfer is to get a USB-to-SATA connector (you can get this at Best Buy) then use one of the imaging programs. Go to www.terabyteunlimited.com and get Image for Windows.
