Yes I have added the SSD to my dell desktop too. Works great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Adding the referenced hard drive is easy as long as you have a 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch conversion bracket. Your current Dell probably has a 3.5 inch drive currently. Your Dell must also support the SATA interface. If your current computer uses the older IDE interface, you'll also need a controller card for the new drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dell Inspiron will increase dramatically it’s booting and performance all together with a SSD and the upgrading of the RAM as well . I do recommend Sandisk for PC and for Apple computers , Sandisk SSD works beautifully on both . First, make sure to find out what’s the maximum of RAM compatible or allow for that year and model of Dell Inspiron , I’ll suggest same thing for your max allow on a SSD.

In order to know if your desktop/ laptop has an internal 2.5" SATA slot, it would be best to contact Dell Customer Support as they would have all the technical specifications for your desktop/ laptop.
