“Hopefully this isn’t a dumb question.... Is this a 12 volt? The guy who helps with my computer told me to make sure it’s a 12 volt and not a 5 volt”

• EVERY SATA SSD uses 5v power. NONE use 12v.

• The SATA power plug will deliver the correct voltage. Unless you have a custom made power supply you are good to go.
