Hi Brian, please be informed that you can connect this USB Drive's Type-C connector to your Samsung S21 5G mobile phone using the USB Type-C port of your phone as your phone supports connecting OTG Drives. You can use the native file manager application of your mobile phone in order to transfer photos/ videos between the USB Drive and your mobile phone. In order to know how to use the native file manager application of your mobile phone, it would be best to contact Samsung Support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the S21 Ultra 5G. If you download the SanDisk application it is extremely seamless transfer of videos and photos and then you just flip the type-c plug turns into a type a plug and you can plug it into your computer very easily
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had my S21 Ultra for a little over 2 years and just decided to offload data to a Sandisk 128GB DualDrive. They both pair well and work as designed however I noticed 3 things that concerned me. 1) The USB-C male connector of the Sandisk was extremely difficult to insert into the phones data/charging port. I mean, a LOT of nervous force and finessing was needed to get it in far enough for the phone to recognize it. 2) The Sandisk drive gets very warm while in use because the phone tries to charge it. The phone wastes precious battery charge trying to do that. If you're backing up large amounts of data to the Sandisk for the first time the battery won't last. If there's a way to turn off data port charging?... I haven't found it yet. 3) The Sandisk app works extremely well to copy or move everything from the source device. Even hidden and password secured folders. I didn't try the phones native file manager to transfer files but I've read it works well. One thing I can say for sure about using the Sandisk app is do NOT select Move (files)! Select Copy first then check the drive to see what it moved. I chose Move and the app moved entire directory folders to the Sandisk. Folders the phone shipped with. I didn't wait to see if that would create operational issues and copies entire directory and nested subdirectory folders back to the phone just in case. It's a nailbiter process for sure, but other than the amount of force required to insert the Sandisk drive the rest is just a learning curve. By the way, you'll most likely have to remove your phone case to use the drive, or use an extension cable because the USB-C male connector isn't long enough.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IT definitely can be used with the galaxy S21 series
