- Answer Yes, the SanDisk® Ultra Dual Drive Luxe is compatible with the Apple iPad 5th Gen. However, in order to know how to transfer files from iPads with USB-C ports using Apple's Files app, please refer to Apple Article HT206481 to use the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

- Answer I would say it would work great. I have a cheaper plastic casing 512 and use it just fine. This is metal and is very fast at transfers of data.

- Answer Don’t know. I suggest buying the duo that has one end with your iPhone connector and the other end your usb. That one does transfer with an app.

- Answer Hi, please be informed that you cannot directly connect this USB Drive to your Samsung Galaxy S7 mobile phone's USB Port as the phone has a micro-USB port whereas this USB Drive has a USB Type-C/ A connectors. Therefore, you can either use a microUSB to USB Type-A/ C Adapter to connect this USB Drive to this phone or you can get the SanDisk m3.0 Dual Drive USB Flash Drive which has a micro-USB connector that can be directly plugged in to a Samsung Galaxy S7 mobile phone.

- Answer Yes, you can use the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe 1TB USB 3.1 Drive to your MacBook's USB 3.1 Type-A or USB 3.1 Type-C port in order to transfer data to/ from this USB Drive. Also, please note that this USB Drive is backward compatible with USB 2.0/ USB 3.0 ports, however, you may not get the optimized higher data transfer speeds.

QuestionWhy are some gen 3.1 gen1 USB drives, listed has transferring at only 150 Mb/s and some at 480 Mb/s? I thought 3.1 gen 1 USB drives were supposed to have data transfer rates over 5 Gb/s?

- Answer Please allow us to inform you that USB 3.1 gen 1 (now USB 3.2 gen 1) is a specification in which supported products are rated at *up-to* 5Gbps (625MB) of transfer speed (read or write). That specification does not necessarily dictate that as a transfer speed minimum requirement. This means that some products, while compatibile with USB 3.2 gen 1 will not transfer data as fast as the maximum suported. There are different technologies incorporated into different USB flash drives (e.g. SSD technology in the SDCZ880) that allows for faster transfer speeds than the majority of lower-cost USB flash drives.

- Answer It's fast! I was surprised how fast it transferred data. That was with the USB side so I would imagine the USB C would be even better. Not over heating that I have experienced.

Please be informed that the SanDisk Memory Zone Application is only for Android mobile phone/ tablets. You may use iPadOS's native file manager application called the "Files" and the MacOS's native file manager application called the "Finder" in order to transfer data to/ from this SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe Flash Drive. In order to know how to use Apple's native file manager applications for the iPadOS and the MacOS, it would be best to contact Apple Customer Support.

QuestionIs this flash drive compatible with a PlayStation 4 console?

- Answer It should be as long as it's formatted properly and not bit locker encrypted or otherwise password protected. Also since the drive is made of metal it can absorb heat from the console if it's plugged in for a while and grow hot to the touch when you go to pull it out. The heat doesn't hurt the storage of the drive but you should let it cool for a couple of minutes after the console is turned off before you remove it.
