“I notice this flash drive was getting hot in earlier 2016. Is this still an issue with the flash drive? Anybody bought it lately and can confirm or deny?”

I purchased this Flash Drive in July 2017. Yes, it is very hot when I fist remove it from the port, in time it cools off.

It does get pretty hot still, but I've never had a USB drive that didn't get hot...

it gets a little hot but nothing out of the ordinary. That is because of the small footprint of the flash drive.

I haven't noticed anything with normal use, but I'm not really using it for much aside from file backup.

I have not encountered any heat issue with regard to this and it is left inserted into an ASUS ultra thin Laptop. It remains cool and functions well
