I am using one in a PC desktop and it has at least tripled the existing performance of its former mechanical disk drive. It's worked flawlessly for more than a month now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this SSD will work with a MacBook Pro. I have put this drive in several Macs. You need to format the drive first using Disk utility in the OSX extended journal. You need Sata to USB cable to connect the drive to the computer. Once it is formatted you can drop the OS on the SSD by downloading it through the Mac App Store. Choose the SSD instead of the internal drive to install. Afterwards physically swap drives and migrate data back to new SSD using data migration application.
