Yes, if it has a 2.5" or a 3.5" this is the drive for you. 3.5" desktops may require a mounting bracket to be used with this hard drive as it only can be mounted in 2.5" bays.

I replaced the 500gb HD in my HP Envy with this product. Challenges will be getting to the innards and cloning data. Wouldn't have attempted on my own. I assisted IT specialist.

The drive should work no problem in your laptop not to mention the considerable difference in speed you will get. Well worth it if you need that amount of space.
