Q: QuestionI've recently purchased an Acer Nitro 5 with 256GB SSD. I don't have a problem with speed, but I need more space. Do I replace the main drive with SanDisk or should I add the SanDisk as an extra internal drive?

• A:Answer I'd definitely replace, depending on the model your new Acer would have difficulty handling both in terms of cpu/gpu cueing. Have similar machine and the SanDisk 1 TB is lightning fast with a ton of storage but Acer, depending on processor, may not be able to handle it.

• A:Answer You will likely need some sort of tray adaptor to mount it, as most PC cases use 3.5 inch drive bays, not 2.5 inch. Other than that, it uses standard Sata power and data connections.

• A:Answer If your computer uses the SATA connector for the hard drive it will work. Look at the Apple Icon on the top left of your screen, About This Mac. Then select Advanced, then Hardware. On the left hand side scroll down to SATA/SATA Express. If your hard drive is listed, then this one will work for your computer.

• A:Answer Usually, data migration problems occur because your source drive has errors on it. Check the source drive for errors with the fix option and also scan for bad sectors. You can do this by having the source drive installed in your pc and boot up. Right click on the C: drive in Windows Explorer. Click Properties. Click the Tools tab. Click Check now under Error Checking. Put a check mark in both Automatically Fix Errors and Scan bad sectors. Click yes when asked to scan on boot up. Reboot and let it scan and fix. When finished, try again. Hope this helps!

• A:Answer Seeing that it initially has a 1TB spinning hard drive; I will confidently say yes. It will fit with any machine that carries the 2.5" SATA hard drive bay. It has the more slim format for netbooks, but comes with a bracket that will help it more accurately fit older netbooks and laptops.
