• So Savhannah2004, wondering if you stayed with the surge protector idea and, more importantly, is your house still standing? I’m thinking about doing the same.

• You can but you have to hang the surge protector.

• Sure. But why not in the bottom socket. You can power other peripherals as well from there

• If you do do that I wouldn't have the kit itself plugged into a power strip or surge protector I would plug the kit straight to wall
