“Would you recommend this mount for a 75" Sony (XBR75X850E)? I haven't installed yet, but feel like I would break the TV every time I try to extend the arm. I have a week to decide to return or keep.....thoughts?”

It hold my tv very firm and steady , fully extended I.e. 28”
