Pull the TV out on the mount. Loosen the main screw with the allen wrench that was provided, get a helper, pull down on tab in back of mount and lift up TV, pull forward. It should be free, free at last. I think they have a video of this online as well.

To release your TV from the mount arm, loosen the locking screw using a hex key, remove the securement screws and then pull down the release ring.
