I think it depends on the sturdiness of the existing masonry in your home. The instruction in the box do have specific instructions for mounting to brick so I would assume that it is usually safe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The mount will support a 60" but the question is will the fireplace. You'll need to drill into the mortar or brick and these are pretty good sized bolts. You'll need to use heavy duty lags in the drilled holes. Sanus provides bolts and plastic lags but I'd go to the hardware store and get the metal ones for a stronger mount.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes if the proper anchor bolts are used. Most home improvement/hardware stores will have what's necessary.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Just anchor it good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need to supply your own masonry mounting hardware since what is supplied is for standard dry wall or wood stud construction. Should be doable with additional parts from Lowe's or Home Depo
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would get a professional to do that. It comes with Mason mounts, but I wouldn't want to put that big of a hole in the fireplace. Consult with a professional, they might have other ways of mounting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This product can be used with a 60 inch television over a brick fireplace if the mount is secured correctly for brick and the heat will not ruin the television being directly over a fireplace.
