- Answer These stands would be ideal with Elac UB5 speakers. Elac recommends heavy stands between 24 and 31 inches high for the UB5s, and these stands are heavy and 30 inches high. I have used Sanus steel speaker stands many times. They are extremely well made.

- Answer I bought the floor model of these stands. Someone, probably at the store, attached a wooden shelf on top. This provides a nice stable surface for the speaker to sit on.
