• The monitor is static with distance, pulse, and calories burnt. The speed rotates between speed (you can set it for KM or miles) and RPM. There are not numbers on the resistance knob. - Schwinn Team

• Yes they rotate and the knob for resistance has a plus and minus on it. You will get use to it real quick.
