Will this device safely work with gen 5 iPad? null

Yes. I have iPad Pro 10.5 inches. It holds very well only if you have a thin case on it. I used a sticker (magnet) on my case, not on my iPad.

I can't directly answer the question because I'm only using it with an iPhone...but the magnet is extremely strong. I would use the larger metal place that comes with the mount for the iPad because that would insure that there's plenty of contact between the back of the iPad and the magnet in the mount. I would think it should work.

No, sorry. The iPad would be way too big for it, it wouldn't hold. It's perfect for big phones like the pluses though.

No it’s saved files to an SD micro card.
