If the case is metal it should work with it.

Yes! it can work with any phone.

It should, it works fine with my older Note 5, and my wife's Galaxy S8.

Sure, it comes with two magnetic plates that you attach (only one, use the other on another phone) to your phone. It works well for its purpose. Be care that on long trips you don’t charge your phone on this or any other mount, the battery will tend to heat up. Better to charge on seat or lap. But for using without charging, it’s what we needed.
