If you mean the 8GB SDD it is good enough according to the manufacturer's website, they do explain that you don't need more SDD cache as for the programs you usually open at all times are not that big, as for me this is not working very well as I have a lot of installed programs that I use everyday for video and photo production. This is great for a student or the common office.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This drive has intelligence built in to manage cache for fast disk operations. The SSD portion operates at memory speeds to your motherboard so unless you are continually reading and writing huge files you will see a big boost in read/write performance. If you have the ability to add RAM to your system it should reduce the reliance upon disk based memory caching. Regardless this hybrid drive will provide a significant improvement for you.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have not tuned your laptop for bloatware, use MSCONFIG to eliminate unnecessary programs. Mos SW providers have update programs in the background consuming cpu and i/o cycles. Each manufacturer loads their "consumer assistance" bloatware too. I eliminate all the bloatware so laptop will operate better. I also eliminate the MS search indexing feature. A SSD hybrid HD will help operate the laptop faster based on my experience. When I rebuild a HD, I install a partition for paging as well forcing the OS to use specific platters for a single function. Hope this helps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to optimize Win7 to work properly with an SSD or hybrid drive. If using a hybrid goigle trim with win7 and prefetch settings. For an ssd add in turning off page file or virtual memory and prefetch and trim settings

I would run a scan with your antivirus program as well to see if it picks anything up. As for the drive, it will observe which data you use most frequently and cache it on the SSD portion of the drive for quicker access.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.increase the RAM before you buy the HDD. Let Windows set the Pagefile settings. this might stop the drive from constantly in busy mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This drive is great, i have it in my 2012 Macbook pro 13" with a 2.9 i7. I do a lot of photo and video editing and it holds up very well. I use 8 GBs of Ram, i would suggest upgrading to at least 8 GBs or even 16 GBs if you want some better performance in your computer, but this drive will improve your speeds for booting and program launches.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is used a a cache drive so any little bits of info used on a regular basis will be stored in the ssd. Upgrading the ram will help also
