You can buy a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter. Or buy the desktop version
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Any 2.5 notebook drive will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As far as the cables go, they are standard SATA power/data cables so they will work in both laptops and desktops that support SATA. In regards to mounting it, the typical screws and braces for hard drives found in desktop cases are meant for the 3.5" hard drives however I was able to mount this in my desktop which is a Dell XPS with no issue. You can purchase a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter to ensure that it will fit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can install it but you should purchase a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter. They're cheap and can be found online for a few bucks. But definitely need it to reduce vibrations from when the platters spin which can corrupt your data.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.laptop drive, but with a conversion kit you could make the 2.5" work in a desktop which 3."5 usually; unless of course you have a 2.5" opeing for your desktop already
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes they will, it the screw holes on Hard drives are standardize like that for that very reason.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.suppose to be same
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use a laptop hard drive in a desktop if you either a, have a case that has spots for laptop-sized hard drives, or b, buy a bracket that you install the drive in first and then put that in your computer. All drives that claim to be laptop-sized are required to have their screw/mounting positions in the exact same place. Same for desktop hard drives. Sometimes you might find that a drive is a little bit thicker, but the mounting screw holes will be the same spots from the bottom and the same distance apart.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can get an adapter so this will fit a 5" bay. I have in the past just let drives "hang" in a box, have not had any issues thus far.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need a hardware kit to install a 2.5 drive in a 3.5 slot. Outside of that it should work fine.
