If your PS4 has standard SATA connectors it should work fine. Do not know the format requirements so I can't speak to that. I note that the PS4 is SATA II - this drive loves SATA III so you may not get the ultimate performance that it is capable of.

The PS4 requires a 2.5" drive usually designated as a laptop computer hard drive and the drive itself must be no thicker than 9mm. This currently restricts you to a 2TB hard drive made by Seagate as all other manufacturers and higher capacity drives are too thick to fit in the PS4.
