I have no idea why someone would be running on XP still but the system requirements state: Minimum System RequirementsPC: Windows XP (SP3), Vista or 7; 1GB for 32-bit systems, 2GB for 64-bit systems; Mac: OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or higher; Linux; 6 Gbps SATA interface connector, motherboard, or add in card

I don't believe XP can handle any drive greater than 2 TB. You can buy the same make of drive in a 2 TB capacity,
