Not a good idea. What is would recommend is: 1 terabyte WD Purple drive. It is designed specifically for use with your surveillance DVR system or NVR system. It can handle the recording of up to 32 cameras at the same time. So no matter what size your security system is, you can trust this surveillance HDD to be there for you when you need it most.
