• It's compatible. Nothing more needed. If you use it as a backup drive, you can use Windows services to backup or most security suites offer backup these days OR this drive comes with its own set of programs. As for hardware though, it comes with the USB cord and that's all you need. You're up and running when you plug it into your machine.

• We had recently upgraded to Windows 10 and found out that our application software wouldn't run properly using the upgrade version so we had to back up our files and reinstall Windows 10 for it to work. There were no glitches so I guess it worked fine with Windows 10.

• I'm using it on Windows 10 and it works great. Does not need any additional equipment or wiring; connected through the USB.
