It's an easy setup. Once you connect the drive, you would see it as a "folder", which you can then access to launch your movies.

Should be no problem to stream a movie from an external drive to a MacBook Pro if you get an external drive with USB interface.

If you get a USB external drive connect it to your MacBook and in a few moments an icon for the external drive should appear on your desktop. Double click on this icon to open up a window with the contents of the external drive, find the movie file and double click it to launch it. You are done.

Will work perfectly with no real effort. Transfer the movie(s) to the drive and when you're ready, just use the finder to open the drive and folders if necessary, double tap on the movie and enjoy the popcorn.

Not hard - you can stream through a cloud drive located near the pc or through a wireless hard drive.

I down load movies to my seagate in approximately 2 minutes per movie. Then it takes about 30 seconds to plug it in later and watch. Very easy interface: drag and drop to download, double click to open. Also it works between PC and Mac.
