• It blinks because the computer is still running power to it, if you want it to be recognized as a drive try to reformat it. If you don’t know how to do that then lookup a YouTube tutorial.

• Try updating your laptop USB drivers, Sometime the drivers go bad. also check if the USB port is working fine or can read any other USB when attached, check it from Device manager.
