A:AnswerI don’t know I have DirecTV and never really tired, but I did work for the Cable company and in the front of their DVR was a USB port. That was for the Technicians to upgrade the software on the DVR, not for an External HDD. DirecTV has a Tower with their Whole House DVR to retain all the shows you recorded and you won’t lose your recordings if for some reason the DVR dies and you have to get a new one.
A:AnswerI've never had any problems with storing games on it, on any console. Once you've formatted it through the settings, you should be able to download to the device directly. There's a setting to just add the space on the side as overflow, but you should also be able to set it as the default storage. If you want to move some but not all material, you can do so individually by pressing the START/three lined menu button over your desired game in the Library.

A:AnswerProviding that the PS4 supports external storage devices I would assume that you would be able But 'I'm not certain. I know that this drive can be used to expand the storage capacity of all of the XBOX One Consoles . It meets the data USB 3.0 specification that is required for it to used with the XB1 & would be recognized by the consoles OS as one suitable for reformatting in order to store Saves and save related data. NOT to mention that Coming in at 4TB's far exceeds the minimum storage size for an external device. Hope that this information will be of some help to you .
A:AnswerI would think so , being that it is backwards compatible with earlier 2.0 interfaces it should be supported by and work just fine with the configuration you've listed. As for the issue of reformatting to NTFS , that shouldn't be necessary as it ships with that Format and is ready to use out of the box ... If that's not the case then it can be reformatted to the supported device's partition and format preferred. Thank you and good luck.
A:AnswerIn terms of " Locking " this Drive I'm guessing that you're asking ow to protect the data on this drive via "encryption". Encrypting contents of this Drive can be achieved by using the proper setup procedure found within the respective Operating System ( OS ) that your computer is running under . For computers running MacOS the contents of this drive can be Encrypted and Password -protected with encryption process performed by the included utility Disk Utility. I would assume that there's is a comparable feature for Windows platforms users as well . Hopefully the information provided has given you the appropriate answer /solution to your question.
