“Does this unit get its power from a 110 volt wall plug? Looking for an EHD to use with my Dish Network reciever. They specify it must have an external power source,not USB power. I see contradicting answers.”

• yes this product plugs in to 120 wall outlet. if you want one that doesn't get a passport drive

• Yes, you must use the enclosed power cord. It won't run off USB power even on a PC.
