Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say "Kinda Maybe" for the following reasons - #1. The drive comes with a USB 3.0 cable & an external power adapter, so you don't have to worry about pulling power from your USB ports. #2. The Specs posted on the Seagate site say Win 7 and higher: (Mac OS X 10.7 or higher or Windows 8, Windows 7 operating system). But there is no reason why it shouldn't work (On XP with USB 2.0). The drive is supposed to be USB 2.0 compatible, but if you used it on a 2.0 connection, you'll be feeling the pain real quick in USB's 2.0 terribly slow transfer rates. Don't even invest in this unless you have USB 3.0. As for XP SP2, it would be a "Maybe Not". Try downloading a copy of SP3 and install that first. I wouldn't put up with the pain of XP and USB 2.0.
